Two day Damascus dagger class

Join us for two days this summer for a Damascus dagger making class.

Day one will see you forge out your own Damascus billet, twisting and laminating before turning into a blade. The afternoon will consist of rough grinding, heat treating and polishing, before polishing and etching.

On day two we will be making and fitting the guard, handle and pommel, followed by final assembly. We will be aiming for dagger blades between 8 and 14 inches, sharp or reenactment ready. Please do get in contact if you have a particular design in mind, but the aim is to construct a rondel/ cruciform style dagger.

All you need to bring is yourself, sensible clothing (boots, jeans etc) and lunch.

Timings are 9:30-4:30 both days
